Hi, I’m Mackenzie Burns!
I’m a former special education teacher, now a mom to two amazing little boys (ages 2 and 4). A few years ago, my husband and I moved to Wilmington from San Diego, where I had the privilege of being part of a supportive postpartum group after my first son was born. That experience was life-changing, and when I had my second baby here in Wilmington, I was reminded just how challenging and isolating those early newborn days can feel without a strong support system. That’s where the idea for The Mom Method was born.
As a certified Newborn Care Specialist, I’m deeply passionate about helping women feel seen, supported, and empowered as they navigate the transition into motherhood. Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful and transformative experiences in life—but it’s not meant to be done alone. The Mom Method is my way of ensuring that no mom has to go through this journey feeling isolated.
I’d love for you to be part of this community—because every mom deserves a village.
